About the Role

A rapidly scaling fintech company is transforming the way businesses move money across borders using stablecoins. Focused on enabling fast, secure, and compliant cross-border flows, the company powers global fintechs and payment providers across Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
As part of its growth, the company is hiring a Director of Finance to lead and build out its financial operations from the ground up.
Role Overview
The Director of Finance will bring structure and clarity to complex financial operations. This individual will establish scalable financial processes, lead planning efforts, optimize treasury and trading functions, and oversee audits and reporting. They will also play a central role in growing the finance team and partnering with leadership on strategic financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations

Design reconciliation processes and tools to track both customer and internal trading activity

Collaborate with technical teams to automate financial tracking and reporting

Support product pricing strategy and collection workflows
Financial Planning

Contribute to building and maintaining the company’s annual budget

Define and track quarterly revenue and expense targets

Support strategic financial decision-making, including hiring and market expansion
Treasury Management

Draft treasury management policies outlining the company’s approach to financial risk

Build and lead a treasury team to manage trading activity with customers and partners

Design internal tools for tracking and optimizing treasury positions

Establish procedures for complex intercompany financial flows
Reporting & Compliance

Lead the annual financial audit process in coordination with global audit firms

Prepare quarterly financial reports for investors

Manage communication with accountants across multiple jurisdictions
What the Role Requires
Required Skills & Experience
-
Degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years in financial control or audit, ideally at a major firm

At least 3 years of experience in operational finance roles, preferably at startups or fintech companies

Experience drafting and managing intercompany and transfer pricing agreements

Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Nice to Have

Experience in international or cross-border payments companies

Familiarity with digital assets or blockchain-based financial operations
