We’re looking for a passionate and technical Lead Engineer to join the team here as we embark on our mission to revolutionize the football fashion and cement our position as the number one supplier of classic football attire. We’re looking for a Technical Lead to provide leadership across projects and lead the design and development of our IT set up.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of software solutions and applications
- Manage and prioritize the development roadmap for all technology projects.
- Manage and optimize the company's cloud infrastructure
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors involved in technology projects.
- Ensure successful integration of third-party solutions with existing systems.
- Assist with data engineering initiatives and leverage understanding of databases to optimize data management.
- This role will grow as the company does and whilst in the short term this role will be hands on, there will be scope to hire and build a team.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar based role, in a fast-moving industry such as retail with clear experience of working on projects as a technical lead.
- Proven experience in software engineering, specifically with PHP and React (Magento is a plus!)
- Knowledge of retail technologies such as Ecommerce systems, warehouse management systems, product inventory management systems and how these systems interact with one another
- Working experience of using APIs and automation of processes using APIs
- Hands on experience of using GCP would be incredibly useful, alternatively other cloud providers
- Experience of managing 3rd parties across projects
- Knowledge of marketing technologies (CDP, CRM, ESP etc.) (desirable)
- An understanding of data engineering/databases (desireable)
