Our client is a global technology services business with over 25 years of experience delivering custom software solutions and partnering with senior technology leaders to drive digital transformation and innovation, specializing in Custom Software Development, Emerging Technologies, and Advisory and Support Services. They are looking to hire a Director of Business Development, who will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle, and collaborating across internal functions to shape and win deals.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct research and market analysis to identify and evaluate new business opportunities.

Develop and implement go-to-market strategies in targeted accounts and verticals.

Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders across Business Development, Marketing, Alliances, Solutions, and Delivery teams.

Report to the Commercial Director, North America, aligning with the organization’s strategic direction.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking candidates who demonstrate:

A proven ability to independently generate leads through outreach, writing, and networking.

A successful background in IT services business development, particularly in custom software, data, or digital solutions.

Experience leading pursuit teams and developing proposals and pitch materials.

A history of closing deals with contract values over $1M.

Comfort with executive-level relationship building (C-suite, SVP, VP).

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and presentation skills.

A commitment to high performance and inclusive leadership.
Experience & Qualifications

A minimum of 10 years’ professional experience, with at least 5 years in solution-oriented business development.

A track record of securing $5M–$10M in annual revenue with a pipeline between $15M–$30M.

Willingness to travel nationally up to 50% (subject to travel policies and guidelines).

Prior business development training or coaching is a plus.
