Position Overview:
As the Supply Chain/Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and managing the company's supply chain and operational processes while taking it to a global and scalable level. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a dedicated team and work cross-functionally to drive strategic initiatives and support the company's overall growth objectives. You will collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and scalability as we continue to expand.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the company's supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to drive individual and collective success.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and evaluate supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including purchasing, sales, marketing, and finance teams, to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure favourable terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce costs throughout the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ethical practices related to supply chain management and operations.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, implementing robust contingency plans to minimize disruptions and optimize resilience.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments, leveraging insights to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the supply chain and operations team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to ensure seamless operations and scalability, leveraging lean principles and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, operations management, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of success in optimizing supply chain processes, reducing costs, and driving operational efficiency within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower teams to achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying current with industry best practices and emerging trends.
