Job Title: Specialist Test Engineer

Location: Luxembourg (Hybrid – 72 person-days onsite, 18 person-days remote)

Day Rate: €450 per day

Duration: 31/12/26

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Test Engineer with extensive experience in testing and quality assurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing effective test strategies, identifying and documenting defects, and ensuring high-quality delivery across complex systems.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Project Management, Business Management or a related field.
• In the absence of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, a minimum of 11 years’ demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 11 years of experience in testing and quality assurance.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience within financial services institutions, insurance undertakings or equivalent organisations.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, isolate and document defects effectively.
• Experience designing and implementing test plans.
• Experience in functional testing and writing test automation scripts.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience using Agile planning tools such as Jira.
• Experience providing first-line support to end users within a banking institution.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
