Assignment Overview

Our banking client is seeking an experienced Senior IT Security Consultant to drive the implementation and rollout of Windows Hello for Business (WHfB) as part of a large-scale Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) program. The consultant will act as a hands-on technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical project driver, ensuring continued momentum, resolving blockers, and owning end-to-end delivery within a complex hybrid IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive the implementation and rollout of Windows Hello for Business (WHfB).
  • Act as technical SME for MFA solutions within hybrid AD / Entra ID environments.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and mitigate technical blockers during deployment.
  • Ensure onboarding of all employees to MFA in a structured and secure manner.
  • Operate as Technical Project Manager, owning delivery end-to-end within scope.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, security, and application teams.
  • Produce technical documentation and management-level presentations.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • Senior expertise in IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security.
  • Strong IAM / IAG experience with hands-on MFA implementation.
  • Proven experience implementing Windows Hello for Business (WHfB) in complex environments.
  • Extensive hybrid environment experience (Active Directory + Entra ID / Azure AD).
  • Experience with Azure AD Connect and hybrid identity architectures.
  • Exposure to enterprise platforms such as Oracle, IBM Mainframe, SQL and similar systems.
  • Experience acting as Technical PM or Technical Lead on enterprise security projects.
  • Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Experience in complex banking or financial sector environments.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure (firewalls, proxies, DNS).
  • Broad Microsoft on-prem infrastructure expertise.
  • Basic infrastructure scripting (PowerShell or similar).
  • Experience with Splunk or similar tools for data extraction and analysis.
