About the Opportunity
An AmLaw 50 global law firm is seeking a talented Privacy & Healthcare Associate to join its nationally recognized Cybersecurity & Privacy Practice Group. The team advises leading healthcare providers, digital health companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and health tech platforms on the intersection of privacy, security, regulatory compliance, and digital innovation.
This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge legal issues at the forefront of healthcare, technology, and privacy law—alongside thought leaders in the field.
Responsibilities

Advise healthcare clients on privacy and security requirements under HIPAA, HITECH, 42 CFR Part 2, and state privacy laws (e.g., CMIA, CPRA).

Support digital health and health tech companies on product counseling, data strategy, and regulatory compliance.

Draft and negotiate data use agreements, BAAs, and other health data–related contracts.

Monitor developments in U.S. and global privacy law, including emerging frameworks like the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, AI governance, and FTC enforcement.

Assist with incident response and regulatory investigations involving PHI and other sensitive health data.
Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a U.S. State Bar.

3–6 years of relevant experience at a law firm, government agency, or healthcare organization.

Strong working knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare privacy, and digital health regulations.

Experience with state and federal privacy frameworks (CPRA, GLBA, etc.) is a plus.

Excellent writing, research, and client communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
