Job description

My client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced PMO - Portfolio Governance Specialist to join their dynamic Digital & Technology team. As a Portfolio Governance Specialist, you will be an integral part of their PMO team, working closely with the Senior PMO Manager to facilitate informed investment decisions and ensure governance processes are executed with precision. 

Key Responsibilities: 
• Value Stream Boards Management: Oversee the operation of monthly Value Stream Boards and other governance forums as directed by the Governance Manager, ensuring quality and consistency in inputs and outputs. This includes taking minutes, following up on actions, and maintaining adherence to governance terms of reference. 
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage strong relationships with a diverse group of mid-level to senior stakeholders from across D&T and Diageo, ensuring alignment and facilitating decision-making. 
• Accountability Tracking: Hold stakeholders accountable for all decisions, minutes, actions, and tie them back to assist in decision-making for portfolio investments and execution. 
• Data Management: Drive the production of high-quality and timely portfolio governance data and information required for governance meetings, collaborating with relevant Portfolio analysts. 
• Documentation: Maintain the Portfolio library with documented approvals for all initiatives against agreed baselines. 
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements within the PMO, particularly related to governance matters. 
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate across the PMO to ensure delivery, reporting, analytics, investment, and controls are aligned. 

Qualifications and Experience: 
• A strong track record (5 years+) in Portfolio Management, Programme Management, or within a PMO, ideally in a D&T role in an FMCG business. 
• Proficiency in both traditional Waterfall and Agile methodologies. 
• Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management and engagement. • Experience in portfolio governance, prioritization, and running governance forums. 
• Resilience and adaptability in a fast-changing environment. 
• Experience in the drinks industry highly desirable.
