About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Finance Business Analyst to support high-impact transformation and/or separation activities within their finance function. This role will play a key part in shaping financial processes and systems, with a focus on Workday Finance. The ideal candidate will bring strong UK finance experience, analytical expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support transformation or separation activities (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, and reporting).

Design and implement financial processes and solutions using Workday Finance.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications.

Identify areas for process improvement and make recommendations to optimise finance operations.

Support the design of people, process, and technology changes as part of Workday implementation and testing.

Assist in project planning, milestone tracking, and on-time delivery of finance-related initiatives.

Contribute to strategic financial decisions by providing accurate and insightful analysis.

Ensure consistency and accuracy in financial data handling and reporting practices.

Support change management and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Provide operational support as needed during project execution.
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent practical experience.

In-depth experience in UK financial environments (planning, budgeting, reporting).

Strong working knowledge of Workday Finance (configuration, reporting, process design).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proven experience in finance transformation or ERP-related projects.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.

Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver in a dynamic environment.

High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy.
Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for data analysis.

Experience in regulated industries or public sector transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of Agile or hybrid project delivery methods.
