Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality. We are seeking an experienced and visionary individual to join our team as the Shop Tab Lead. The Shop Tab Lead will be responsible for defining the Governance and Experience strategy for the "Shop" Section of TikTok, where a user can shop for products using the search bar, by category or browse within more personalized sections such as Deals, and "Recommended for you". The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of relevant experience in the US Ecommerce space as a leader with strong decision-making skills, and people management.

Role & Responsibilities
- Determine the strategy for seller and product listing eligibility & placement on Shop Tab on all shopping channels such as Search, Top deals, and Recommended for you, Order, Cart, etc.
- Establish operational processes to maintain a trusted and relevant shopping experience for all scenarios where sellers and products are displayed to customers
- Provide cross functional leadership across Product, Search, Recall, Algo, Moderation, Seller & Listing Policies teams
- Stay updated on e-commerce compliance standards and industry best practices
- Monitor feedback and user perception, continuously improving the experience on shop tab to enhance customer satisfaction
- Partner with data analytics and science teams to actively monitor Shop Tab performance
- BA/BS/MBA degree or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the US E-commerce space
- Ability to develop and implement governance and experience strategies aligned with business objectives
- Experience understanding consumer and shopping habits and developing governance and experience strategies aligned with business objectives
- Experience building product merchandising strategies via structured data, search relevancy, and customized curation
- Proven ability to make quick and effective decisions based on extensive experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
