Power Platform Consultant – Contract Opportunity

Location: Brussels / Hybrid
Start Date: Within 1–2 months
Duration: Initial 6-month contract (extensions possible)
Workload: Full-time
Eligibility: EU Citizenship required


Project Overview

A leading public sector programme is undergoing a digital transformation to modernise legacy systems and improve operational efficiency using the Microsoft Power Platform. The consultant will support the migration of custom-built legacy applications (Java/Oracle) to Power Platform solutions, while enhancing reporting, workflows, and user interfaces across multiple departments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Migrate legacy systems to modern solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

  • Design and implement low-code applications for internal users.

  • Develop scalable Power BI reports and semantic models, using DAX and Power Query.

  • Automate business processes via Power Automate, integrating with SharePoint, email, and APIs.

  • Translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements and working solutions.

  • Conduct workshops, user training, and documentation for effective handover.

  • Collaborate with technical, functional, and operational teams across the organisation.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience across the Microsoft Power Platform:

  • Power BI (data modelling, DAX, KPIs)

  • Power Apps (canvas and model-driven)

  • Power Automate (process flows and integrations)

  • Background in application migration, ideally from Java/Oracle.

  • Proficient in SQL and data architecture principles.

  • Experience integrating Power Platform with external data sources (APIs, Azure, etc.).

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Microsoft certifications: PL-300, PL-400, or equivalent.

    • Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Dataverse, or other Microsoft cloud services.

    • Familiarity with public sector or institutional environments.
