Lead Shopify Plus Developer- Fully Remote
Our client, a DTC fashion brand, is seeking a leader in web development to lead their Shopify projects. This role involves spearheading the design and structure of their Shopify Plus site, overseeing third-party integrations, and managing a team of developers
Your responsibilities will encompass crafting solutions for Shopify 2.0 customizations, directing the development of new features and pages, executing tests, optimizing performance, and troubleshooting issues.
What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain Shopify Plus sites, focusing on scalability, performance, and security. Create and implement new features and pages on Shopify.
- Enhance/Optimize site performance and user experience
- Develop and inspire both internal team members and external collaborators (e.g., agencies, SaaS partners, etc.) to cultivate a productive and collaborative environment.
- Work with designers, project managers, and developers
- Customize and enhance Shopify themes and plugins based on stakeholder needs.
- Integrate 3rd party services and APIs (such as payment processors and shipping providers) with Shopify.
- Conduct code reviews, offer technical guidance, and address bugs and technical issues promptly, especially those affecting cart and checkout processes.
- Keep up to date on the latest Shopify features, trends, and best practices.
Who You Are:
- 4+years Shopify Plus Development experience .
- Knowledge of Shopify Functions and Scripts.
- Familiarity with SEO and ADA best practices.
- Deep knowledge of Shopify Theme 2.0 architecture, including JSON, Customizer, and metaobjects.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Liquid.
- Strong grasp of Shopify’s platform architecture, APIs, and developer tools (Shopify CLI).
- Understanding of front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js).
- Capability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
