Infrastructure Test Consultant Start: ASAP Type: Permanent Location: London (2-days in the office p/week) Pay: £80-85k p/annum Are you passionate about infrastructure and non-functional testing? Do you want to play a key role in improving the quality and resilience of cutting-edge IT initiatives? We are looking for an Infrastructure Test Specialist to join our UK-based Testing Squad, supporting one of our major modernization programs. You’ll be part of a growing and collaborative team focused on driving excellence in the non-functional aspects of our systems — from performance and resilience to monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery. About the Role As an Infrastructure Test Specialist, you'll work closely with Product Owners, technical experts, and business analysts to shape and implement a clear strategy for non-functional testing (NFT). You'll help ensure new solutions are robust, scalable, and meet all necessary performance and security standards. You’ll join a team of four other NFT specialists where knowledge sharing and continuous improvement are central to how we work. Key Responsibilities - Define and drive Non-Functional Testing across a modern tech stack (Java, Kafka, Linux, Cloud, API) - Translate business and technical needs into a clear NFT strategy and actionable test plans - Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to design and execute testing cycles - Manage test execution, bottleneck analysis, and root cause investigations - Document results and provide consolidated reporting for both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Support domains such as Disaster Recovery, Resilience, Performance, Microservices, Alerting, Monitoring, and Security What We're Looking For - Proven experience in preparing and executing NFT in complex environments (ideally within Financial Services) - Strong understanding of non-functional test types, including performance, scalability, reliability, and failover testing - Hands-on experience with tools like LoadRunner/Performance Center, ADS, Selenium, Xray, Splunk - Ability to write clear, comprehensive test strategies and plans - Technically strong, able to communicate with security and infrastructure teams - Skilled in Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and test automation practices - Strong communicator – able to articulate technical results to non-technical audiences and advise teams on resolution priorities |
