Company: Confidential Early-Stage Tech Startup
Location: Hybrid (NY preferred) or Remote (U.S.)
Compensation: $100,000 base salary + 10% equity
Type: Full-time

About the Company

A pre-seed, founder-led AI startup building tools that help professionals capture, organize, and act on information more efficiently. The company is developing its MVP with an experienced engineering team and is hiring its first full-time operator to drive product delivery and early user adoption.

About the Role

As the Founding Product & Operations Manager, you’ll work closely with the founders to push the product from MVP to real-world use. You will coordinate product development, support pilot users, and build the internal systems that will scale the company.

Key Responsibilities

Product

  • Turn vision and user feedback into clear product requirements

  • Coordinate sprints, testing, and release cycles

  • Oversee QA and create lightweight specs, wireframes, and workflows

User Research & Adoption

  • Recruit and onboard early pilot users

  • Run feedback sessions and translate insights into product improvements

  • Track key usage and performance metrics

Operations

  • Set up internal tools (project tracking, CRM, user management)

  • Manage vendor relationships and integrations

  • Support basic compliance and documentation needs

Growth & Strategy

  • Contribute to investor materials and progress reporting

  • Support go-to-market tests and pricing experiments

Required Experience

  • 3–6 years in product, operations, or customer success (SaaS/startup)

  • Strong grasp of software development lifecycles

  • Comfortable with tools like Figma, Notion, ClickUp, Airtable, HubSpot

  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills

  • Startup mindset: proactive, adaptable, execution-first

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI/ML products or API integrations

  • Exposure to legal or professional-services workflows

  • Early-stage or zero-to-one product experience

  • Basic familiarity with compliance standards
