What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and construct a large scale data platform using state-of-the-art technologies, emphasising scalability and robustness.
- Enhance internal tools and processes to continually increase data quality.
- Uphold high standards in engineering practices, aiming for excellence at every turn.
- Implement effective data governance across our business landscape.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of data engineers, infrastructure specialists, ML engineers, and data scientists to address unique data challenges.
- Stay at the forefront of new cloud and data-related technologies and methodologies, adapting and learning as you go.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3-5 years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer or related role, with hands-on coding in Python and SQL/NoSQL (required)
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD workflows (required)
- Proven track record in developing and scaling cloud architecture, ETL processes, data modelling, access, and storage.
- Experience working in an agile setup, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement in software engineering processes and best practices.
- Bonus: Familiarity with Machine Learning, MLOps, or AWS Sagemaker; Experience with Big Data.
