Job Title: Data Centre Shift Technician
Location: Slough
Salary: up to £48K per annum
Working Pattern: Shift Work (Days and Nights)

Our client is looking for a Data Centre Shift Technician to join their team in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a background in critical environments, or for someone keen to take the next step into this field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical systems to industry standards.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across site equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on systems such as BMS, UPS, generators, HVAC, and fire detection/suppression.
- Support with installations and modifications to electrical services.
- Maintain accurate records using computer-based systems.
- Communicate effectively with the Shift Supervisor, reporting on plant status and ongoing works.
- Ensure high standards of safety, compliance, and housekeeping at all times.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in building services or critical environments (preferred).
- Data Centre Experience (Essential)
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) in electrical services/maintenance.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
- HV Authorisation (preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of UPS, generators, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive, reliable approach.
