Cloud Security Engineer
Remote - UK

We're working with a London-based cloud technology company dedicated to enhancing online safety. Collaborating with cloud providers and their customers, they secure the foundational elements of the internet through consulting, training, and products focused on cloud-native development, security, and operations. As a leader in the Kubernetes and Cloud DevSecOps space, they're trusted by prominent organisations such as Google Cloud, the UK Home Office, and JPMC.

The position is remote, with optional in-person time at the London office and occasional client site visits. Roles and Responsibilities:

- Manage Secrets Across Cloud Platforms: Utilise AWS Secrets Manager and Google Secrets Manager to ensure secure data management.
- Design and Develop Cloud Infrastructure: Employ Terraform to automate and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability and security.
- Develop Cloud-Native Applications: Write high-quality code in Go to build and maintain robust cloud-native systems.
- Lead Infrastructure and Security Projects: Implement cloud infrastructure projects with a focus on security best practices.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Address complex technical challenges in both development and production environments.

Skills and Experience Required:

- Cloud Platform Expertise: Proficiency with AWS and/or Google Cloud, including AWS Secrets Manager and Google Secrets Manager.
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Expertise with Terraform.
- Programming Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Go.
- Modern Engineering Practices: Knowledge of containerization, serverless architectures, and DevOps practices.
- Collaboration & Change Management: Strong communication skills and the ability to lead initiatives.
- Hands-on Problem Solving: Passion for experimentation and delivering innovative solutions.
- CI/CD Best Practices: Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, Jenkins.
- Security Awareness: Experience designing secure, compliant systems.
- GitOps Experience: Understanding of GitOps practices.
- Security Tooling Experience: Familiarity with AquaSec, Prisma, or Falco.
- Soft Skills for Consulting: Ability to work with clients and adapt to regulated environments.
