Job Description 

Tata Consultancy Services is an IT services, consulting and business solutions organization that has been partnering with many of the world’s largest businesses in their transformation journeys for over 50 years. TCS offers a consulting-led, cognitive powered, integrated portfolio of business, technology and engineering services and solutions.

TCS is looking for an experienced Business Development Leader to join its North America Major Markets Tribe - BFSI Focused Growth Segment. BFSI Focused Growth Segment will focus on acquiring new banking, financial services clients in the US. Selected candidate will be responsible for acquiring new mid-market banking logos as a primary focus area.

Responsibilities  

•    Create and execute a prospecting strategy for assigned accounts
•    Achieve lead generation, prospecting and other business development goals designed to build an optimal sales pipeline. 
•    Achieve quarterly and annual targets for TCV and Revenue
•    Develop strong, long-term relationships and referrals with senior management at targeted firms 
•    Work in close collaboration with TCS sales and solution teams to position the right offering to prospective clients.
•    Go beyond BAU duties when required for the benefit of larger team and TCS.
•       Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills to establish interest, credibility and     
trust.
Qualifications: 
•    Strong business development (hunter) background with minimum 5 years of hunting experience and proven track record of success in selling to mid-market ( revenue $0.5B - $5B) banking and financial services clients in the US. 
•    Experience in selling service offerings. Should have strong digital services selling background.
•    Understanding of US banking domain (core banking, cards, lending, etc) and market trends
•    Experience in building strong relationships with CxOs and VP level execs of mid-market banking and financial services clients within US. Ability to demonstrate a few such relationships.
•    Experience in generating, shaping and closing medium sized deals ($10 m - $20 m) with mid-market target logos.
•    Strong local contact base and access to alumni, local associations, industry associations within the region. 
•    Demonstrated ability to manage complex negotiations 
•    Self-starter, great collaborator, ability to adapt to new situations quickly

Travel Requirements  

•    The candidate is expected to travel regularly to regional prospect and client locations to support lead generation, sales presentations, negotiations and ongoing relationship building. 
•    Total experience 15+ years
•    Location: West Coast or Mid-West locations
•    No employees reporting to the position
