Job description

Our client, a massively fast growing Enterprise SaaS firm in the Professional Development / HR and Benefits space - coming off a huge 300M Series E round – is looking for a top tier enterprise sales leader for an AVP of Sales position in the SE.

They're nothing short of a tier-1 Silicon Valley startup, one of the hottest and well backed names in the space. Expecting to grow from about 1200 employees to over 2000 in 2022. Looking for someone to be a full-on leader for an already high performing team based across the Southeast US. You’d be responsible for leading a team of 6-8 Enterprise Reps, scaling business in territory, and supporting overall organizational growth as an executive sales leader.

What you'll do:

  • Strategize with the Regional Vice President of Sales and other Executive Leadership to expand client base across the SE.
  • Hire an elite team of Senior Account Executives who will close key accounts (and manage those already on the team).
  • Work alongside Account Executives by participating in and leading client meetings to increase pipeline velocity.
  • Accountable to measuring weekly pipeline development activities tied to monthly pipeline targets and sharing those forecasts in weekly pipeline review meetings.
  • Reporting on sales activity, pipeline development and forecast to the BetterUp leadership team.
  • Monitoring the weekly sales activity of the team, and tracking results.
  • Support Account Executives by collaborating on local business development plans within each market.

Skills and Experience:

  • 2-3 years of sales management experience combined with a proven track record of success in a similar enterprise environment.
  • 7+ years of quota-carrying sales and experience as an individual contributor.
  • Recent experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles with Fortune 500 accounts.
  • Proven success of working within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Values/behaviors necessary: Empathy, bringing out the best in others, care for each person, service-oriented leadership, and a relentless desire to learn/grow.
