Senior Application & Cloud Architect
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Architect to lead the design and implementation of advanced knowledge engineering systems and data pipelines. The role focuses on transforming complex data sources into semantic models to support large-scale interoperability and technical decision-making.
Core Responsibilities

Knowledge Engineering: Lead the development, maintenance, and review of ontologies and knowledge graphs.

Data Pipeline Architecture: Design and implement semantic data pipelines to convert diverse data sources into RDF using RML or similar mapping tools.

Semantic Analysis: Query and analyze complex datasets using SPARQL.

Technical Steering: Provide expert guidance on technical decision-making, project steering, and the software development lifecycle.

Documentation & Coordination: Prepare high-level technical specifications, documentation, and presentation materials while coordinating deliveries, releases, and deployments.

Stakeholder Interaction: Bridge the gap between business analysts, technical developers, and end-users to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Required Technical Skills

Data Modeling: Advanced expertise in Data Modeling, Systems Modeling, and UML.

Development: Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript.

Semantic Tech Stack: Deep knowledge of RDF (Schema, formats), SPARQL, and Triple Stores.

Ontology Standards: Proven experience with OWL and SHACL.

Version Control: Senior-level experience with Git (GitHub/GitLab), including CI/CD pipelines.

Agile Methodology: Experience in backlog/issue management (Jira/GitHub Issues) within an Agile framework.
Preferred Expertise (Advantages)

Semantic Stores: Experience with tools such as Virtuoso, Apache Jena, or GraphDB.

Serialization: Familiarity with Turtle and JSON-LD.

Linked Data: Strong understanding of Linked Data principles and best practices.

Release Management: Expertise in software packaging, distribution, and lifecycle management.
