My client are seeking an experienced Storage Engineer to manage and innovate their storage infrastructure that supports their global trading strategies and research environments. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, open, and collaborative organizational structure.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee existing storage infrastructure and design new storage solutions
- Conduct research and implement cutting-edge storage technologies
- Address complex storage, OS, and networking problems
- Create tools to boost the performance and monitoring of storage clusters
Essential Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise storage systems such as NetApp and Isilon
- Over 7 years of experience in HPC environments with large-scale storage (1PB+)
- Strong proficiency in Linux troubleshooting and NFS
- Expertise in Linux software RAID, ZFS, and other filesystems
- Skilled in Python and shell scripting
- Familiarity with distributed file systems
- Excellent communication abilities
- Capability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Effective time management, balancing solo and team tasks
- A keen interest in learning and applying new technologies swiftly
