This role will focus on data architecture. This team owns the workflows and tools that the planning team use on a daily basis to serve their clients, so this is a critical part of the success of our business. This role is a Salesforce engineering role and includes development using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Platform Events as well as other modern technologies. As a Senior Staff engineer, you will also be expected to provide technical leadership on the squad, collaborating with the other team members, leading technical design sessions and coaching junior engineers. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the charge to improve our Salesforce data architecture from technical design to implementing changes and rolling them out to production
  • Evolve our data architecture to scale with the growth of our business, working directly with our product team to ensure we are designing for the future
  • Take stories from idea to implementation including work estimation, collaboration with our product team, development, testing, code review and deployment
  • Actively collaborate with the other engineers on the squad through code reviews, pair programming, interactive design sessions and team retrospectives
  • Provide technical leadership to the squad, coaching and mentoring junior engineers

Requirements:

  • 7+ years software development experience including significant experience integrating large data volumes on the Salesforce platform
  • Expert-level capabilities developing and implementing middleware and data archival solutions such as SnapLogic and GRAX
  • Experience with master data management, data governance, data security, data quality and related tools desired
  • Experience with agile development such as SCRUM or Kanban is preferred
  • Salesforce Architect certifications are a big plus
