Senior Software Engineer – AI Solutions
Location: Remote (Preference for Boston, MA)
Salary: $130,000- $150,000 + Equity + Bonus
A fast-growing AI technology company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable backend systems powering cutting-edge machine learning APIs. This role offers the opportunity to work with innovative AI tools, including a proprietary large language model that extracts data from any document without training, supporting industries in solving complex data challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable backend systems using modern programming languages.
- Optimize database performance and ensure data security.
- Lead architecture reviews and set milestone goals for deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers, promoting best practices and high-quality coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, write unit tests, and participate in code reviews.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of backend development expertise with Python.
- Proficiency in database design, management, and optimization.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of REST API design principles and Git workflows.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
