Senior Shopify Plus Developer- Hybrid in Los Angeles/Malibu, California
My client, a dynamic beauty brand thriving on Shopify Plus, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer well-versed in Shopify Plus to spearhead the advancement and enhancement of their eCommerce platform.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the development of their Shopify Plus theme and extension applications.
- Work closely with product, design, and marketing teams to integrate new functionalities, improvements, and updates.
- Ensure code is finely tuned for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Develop and manage visually striking, responsive web pages, landing pages, and microsites.
- Implement, integrate, and manage full stack integrations, apps, and plugins to enrich site capabilities.
- Identify and resolve site and application issues swiftly, minimizing disruptions.
- Monitor and assess website performance, offering insights and suggestions for enhancement.
- Stay abreast of trends, embracing best practices and emerging technologies.
- Act as a mentor to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continual growth and refinement.
Who You Are:
This person will boast a robust software engineering background, a meticulous approach, and a drive to craft seamless, high-converting digital shopping journeys. This role demands a proactive team player who can collaborate effectively with our marketing, design, and operations departments to propel our e-commerce vision.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on e-commerce platforms.
- 2+ years Shopify Plus development, including Liquid theme customization and custom apps.
- Profound grasp of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
- Exposure to Test Driven Development would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of SEO optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), development workflows, and continuous delivery.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
