Munich – (Hybrid)


Stott and May are partnered with an innovative fintech Payment provider whose solution makes regular smartphones become secure and fast payment acceptance terminal without any additional hardware. Due to continued growth we are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join the business

Responsibilities
  • You will develop software components and services for the payment platform, enabling customers to securely use regular mobile devices as POS terminals.
  • Your focus will be on creating highly available and scalable systems, with an emphasis on service-based architectures and end-to-end API-centric designs.
  • You will maintain and regularly improve existing software.
  • Ensuring software security by adhering to PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards will be a key responsibility.
  • You will proactively seek ways to enhance processes and interactions to meet business needs.
  • Providing help and support to your team colleagues will be an important part of your role.
  • The team embraces agile concepts, particularly the inspect-and-adopt approach, with a focus on continuous optimization.

Experience:
  • Have a Degree in Computer Science or Similar
  • Strong experience focused on the Java ecosystem
  • You are comfortable working with Quarkus or Spring Boot and Kafka 
  • You are comfortable in developing Micro-service architectures and REST API’s
  • Ideally you will have an understanding of IAM solutions in particular OpenID Connect + JWT integrations
  • Comfortable working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
  • Knowledge towards pragmatic programming approaches and has a strong attitude to ownership – “You build it you run it” approach
  • Comfortable speaking English and German is also highly desired.
