Senior Golang Engineer - (m/f/d)

We are a technology company providing large-scale digital media streaming services across multiple platforms and devices. We operate the full content delivery pipeline end-to-end, including live streaming, on-demand video, recording services, and multi-device playback.
Our team runs a highly available, low-latency streaming platform serving millions of users across the country. We design, operate, and continuously optimize the systems responsible for transporting and delivering media efficiently and reliably.
As a Software Engineer, you’ll work on the core backend services that power our streaming delivery and real-time advertising infrastructure. You'll design and implement high-performance distributed systems in Go, ensuring that content and ads are delivered reliably at scale.
This role offers the opportunity to work on systems that directly impact millions of end users and to build infrastructure that operates at massive throughput levels.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for media delivery and real-time decisioning.
- Build resilient, observable services optimized for low latency and high throughput.
- Collaborate with SRE and platform engineering teams to deploy and scale services using Kubernetes.
- Contribute to internal frameworks and shared libraries used across the platform.
- Develop APIs using REST and gRPC to integrate with analytics, data, and streaming pipelines.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong experience in backend engineering, ideally with Go (Golang).
- Good understanding of distributed systems, caching, and high-performance networking.
- Experience designing and maintaining APIs and/or event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with streaming, ad-tech, or large-scale delivery systems is a plus.
- Comfortable in Linux environments and debugging system-level behaviour.
- Proficiency in German or English.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for in-person team collaboration.
