Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our Incident Response team. The Senior Associate will play a pivotal role in advising clients on cybersecurity incident response strategies, managing legal aspects of data breaches, and representing clients in related litigation matters. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented attorney to make a significant impact in the field of cybersecurity law.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on cybersecurity incident response protocols and best practices.
  • Assist clients in developing and implementing incident response plans to mitigate risks and minimize legal exposure.
  • Lead investigations into cybersecurity incidents, including data breaches, ransomware attacks, and unauthorized access.
  • Collaborate with technical experts and forensic teams to gather evidence and assess the scope and impact of security incidents.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, agreements, and settlement terms related to cybersecurity incidents and data breaches.
  • Represent clients in regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and litigation arising from cybersecurity incidents.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, regulations, and legal developments in cybersecurity and data privacy.

Qualifications:

  • JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
  • 5+ years of experience practicing law with a focus on cybersecurity, data privacy, or related areas.
  • Proven track record of advising clients on cybersecurity incident response strategies and managing legal aspects of data breaches.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, threats, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in litigation, regulatory compliance, or enforcement related to cybersecurity incidents is a plus.
