My client who is a leading brand within the Consumer Goods industry is currently looking to on board an experienced SAP ABAP Developer for what will be a Full Time role.
The role will see individuals working remotely 3 days per week, with the remaining 2 days on-site at my client’s offices in Union Beach, NJ.

The Role
- The role is responsible for understanding the SAP implementation EHP8 / Rollout / Upgrade projects and implementation of the S/4 HANA system.
- As an ABAP Developer the position will collaborate and engage with key program and project teams across the enterprise to conceive, architect and deliver solutions aligned with business requirement.
- In this role, the role owner will be responsible for working closely with in-house and vendor technical team across the globe, System integrators and project leadership to deliver and support solutions.
- Lead the development of SAP projects using the ABAP standards and processes aligned with strategic objectives to govern solutions.
- Support the established AMS team to troubleshoot/address the enhancement issues and incidents.
- Provide input on delivery estimation and resource planning to business / project lead for effective planning.
- Lead discovery sessions with business subject matter experts across various technical platform areas in delivering high-level design & documentation.
The Candidate
- 7-10 years of SAP experience with a more recent focus spent specifically within S/4 HANA and Fiori
- Minimum of 2 years hands on Fiori/HTLM5 development experience for SAP S/4HANA
- Minimum of 3 years general SAP UI application and development experience (Enterprise Portal, Fiori, or other)
- Experience web services including REST, SOAP, OData services and API management.
- Experience with Solution Manager Change Management (CHARM), Focused Build is a plus.
- Ability to develop repeatable development processes with supporting documentation.
- Expertise in design and development of the SAP objects:
- Module Pool Programming
- Interface Programming
- Adobe forms / Smart forms / Scripts
- BADI / ES / Exits
- Classes
- OData services
- AMDP
- CDS
- Fiori Enhancements
- WebDynpro ABAP
- HANA Implementation experience (Green & Brown field).
- Strong problem-solving and software triage skills with ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong cognitive ability especially with respect to understanding, documenting, and describing complex technical subjects.
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems, or business administration
