Job description

Our GTM Executive Search Team at Stott and May is currently on the search for a Sales Director, based in NYC, for a Series-D Software Vendor in the media and video technology space.

 

This is a highly strategic sales position for a sprawling startup focused on revolutionizing how visual content is creative, utilizing AI-first software and photo/video generation models. The role will focus on net-new account acquisition of production, media, and other businesses in the territory.

 

While this is a already a large and high-successful software company, this position will be one of the foundational sales hires for a new business unit and new product area for the organization.

What we're looking for:

 

  • 7+ years of experience within SaaS, Media Technology, Production Technology sales, in a quota-carrying sales role focused on supporting net-new opportunities
  • Based in the NYC Metro Area
  • Track record of landing large, net-new deals with large entertainment, production, and media organizations (TV & Movie Studios, Creative Agencies, Ad Agencies, Production Organizations)
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles of 6 months+ in length
  • Experience in selling at the C-Level, particularly in media and production teams
  • Strong operational rigor; having proven experience in running enterprise focused sales playbooks, client penetration plans, organizational structures, rep plans, onboarding, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment to achieve results together; be highly coachable and adopts a growth mindset
  • Highly methodical and processes focused sales person, someone that has a scientific nature to the way that they build pipeline, sell, and iterate
