QA Automation Engineer
Type: Permanent
Start: ASAP
Location: Full Remote (must be based in the UK)
Salary: 60-65k
Your Mission
Over the past few years, our client has rapidly expanded their client base, product offering and team. As a company handling significant financial transactions, quality sits at the heart of everything we do.
You’ll work within a collaborative, full-stack product team, alongside designers, engineers, product managers, and domain experts. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the robustness and reliability of our platform as we continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Championing quality throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to release
- Designing and implementing detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Developing and maintaining automated test frameworks (primarily using Cypress)
- Expanding and managing regression packs to ensure high test coverage
- Identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating with the team to resolve them
- Contributing to architectural decisions with a testability-first mindset
- Monitoring quality metrics such as defect density and open defect counts
- Staying informed about the latest testing strategies and tools
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working with Foreign Exchange (FX) systems (must)
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Hands-on experience with Cypress
- Proficiency in JavaScript and solid SQL skills
- Experience with both white-box and black-box testing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- High attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality
- A strong sense of integrity and personal accountability
- Understanding of how to effectively utilise AI tools for test planning, documentation, and analysis
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS / Azure cloud platforms
