Job description

Do you solve problems people don’t even know they have? Does imposing order upon chaos excite you? Then you might be just the Project Manager (or magician… well, without the cool hat) that we’re looking for!

As the Project Manager, you will be the alchemist that leverages the prowess of Product Management and Engineering. You will use your organization, communication, and time management mojo to ensure effective, successful, seamless engineering project execution. Your broad understanding of project requirements, system and technical capabilities, together with team dynamics will facilitate smooth, cooperative and timely work.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Engineering and Product teams in identifying, tracking, and executing on projects

  • Lead and shape the sprint ceremonies and other project lifecycle activities, including backlog management, task estimation, sprint scheduling, standups and status reports, and end-of-sprint reviews

  • Analyze velocity, sprint performance, planned versus unplanned work, and other metrics relevant to project efficiency

  • Coordinate dependencies and deliverables & assist with prioritization and scheduling

  • Document processes, workflows, and expectations to avoid single points of failure

  • Engage with engineers, leadership, and other teams and stakeholders to understand the project landscape and provide timely and effective communication

  • Foster a collaborative and cooperative work environment

  • Other duties as necessary

Technologies:

  • Expert in Jira or other ticketing / sprint and project management tool

  • Efficient with MS Office or Google Suite

    • Documents and presentations

    • Spreadsheets both for data analysis and for communication

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Independent Thinking: Operating according to one’s own standards without being overly influenced by the opinions of others. Balance autonomy with collaboration.

  • Planning and Organizing: Developing, implementing, evaluating and modifying plans to optimize the use of available resources and reach objectives.

  • Sense of Initiative: Acting independently. Anticipating needs, taking advantage of opportunities and flagging problems in order to attain objectives.

  • Multi-domain communication: You can communicate with and understand programmers, system administrators, and data analysts as well as executives

  • Familiar with cybersecurity and projects concerned with security, privacy, and threat management

  • Demonstrated success in previous related role (3-5 years preferred)

  • PMP certification or other related trainings / certifications (preferred)
