Network Security Engineer
Stott and May are helping a leading mass media corporation recruit a Network Security Engineer to join their inclusive team based in Los Angeles. A core focus for this role will be providing Information Security insight to patch coordination and rollout processes, driving collaboration and creating visibility and reporting.
The successful Network Security Engineer candidate will be analyzing the vulnerability threat landscape as it applies to the corporation's environments and identifying opportunities to improve firewall and network device security configurations. You will have remote access to apps like CloudFlare, Akamai EAA, Prisma Access and Spashtop and work with teams across the company to communicate the importance of secure firewall and network configurations.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities would include:
- Proactively creating reports and other documentation related to network and firewall configuration
- Helping develop workflows to enable ZeroTrust
- Regular Review network diagrams for security risks; identify opportunities of improvement
To apply for this Network Security Engineer role, you will need hands-on experience in a Security Analyst or Engineer role and excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should be able to communicate highly technical details succinctly. We are looking for someone with a knack for simplifying processes and low friction security with meticulous attention to detail in their work.
