Job Title: Senior Microsoft Security Engineer
Location: London (2 days onsite per week)
Pay: £580/day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 6 months
We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Security Engineer with 7–10 years of experience to lead security and compliance initiatives across Microsoft 365 and Azure. You will work hands-on with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, and Entra ID, driving enterprise security improvements and compliance at scale.
Key Responsibilities:

Architect and implement DLP, Information Protection, and Data Lifecycle Management policies.

Deploy Insider Risk Management and other Purview components (eDiscovery, Communication Compliance, Audit).

Configure and manage at least two Microsoft Defender products and lead threat protection.

Apply Microsoft Entra ID for Conditional Access, MFA, Identity Governance, and PIM.

Provide technical leadership, risk assessments, and security best practices aligned with Zero Trust principles.
Requirements:

7–10 years’ experience in Microsoft security solutions.

Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Purview and at least two Defender products.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and enterprise identity security.

Experience implementing enterprise-level security and compliance solutions.
Preferred:

Microsoft certifications: SC-400, SC-200, SC-300, or SC-100.

PowerShell automation and SIEM/security analytics experience.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Strong problem-solving and ability to deliver under pressure.
