Load Test Architect

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Remote

Contract Type: Until 31/05/2026, with the possibility of extension

Daily Rate: €500 per day

EU Citizenship required

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Load Test Architect to establish and guide the technical foundation of our enterprise-wide performance testing capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, evolving, and maintaining the technical architecture of the Load Testing Service, ensuring architectural coherence, scalability, and alignment with our wider enterprise strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain the technical architecture for the Load Test Service, including LoadRunner infrastructure, cloud-based test environments, and integrations with enterprise services.
  • Design high-availability configurations for test controllers and load injectors.
  • Define sizing requirements for on-premises and cloud-based test environments.
  • Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, workflows, and integration specifications.
  • Establish and implement service design principles ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Plan and manage migration strategies for LoadRunner upgrades and new versions.
  • Evaluate and implement cloudification strategies (AWS, Azure, OVH) for load testing infrastructure.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of performance and load testing architectures and methodologies.
  • Proven experience designing scalable, high-availability systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency with LoadRunner Professional and Enterprise.
  • Strong understanding of application performance testing tools and frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Proficiency in virtualisation technologies (VMware, containers, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability solutions (Dynatrace, APM tools).
  • Solid understanding of network architecture and load distribution patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Ability to balance technical excellence with practical implementation constraints.
  • Experience designing API-first and event-driven architectures.
