Linux Consultant

Location: The Hague, Netherlands (100% Onsite)
Day Rate: €600–650 excluding VAT
Contract Duration: Until end of 2025 with potential extension
Languages: English required; other languages are a plus
Criminal record check required


Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Linux Systems Engineer with hands-on experience in authentication systems and collaboration platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux environments and be proficient in managing and integrating tools such as LDAP, Keycloak, Nubus, Jitsi, OX Mail, and Open-Xchange.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Linux-based systems and services.

  • Manage and configure LDAP directories for user authentication and access control.

  • Deploy and maintain Keycloak for identity and access management.

  • Support and integrate Nubus for secure document and data handling.

  • Configure and manage Jitsi for video conferencing and communication.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot OX Mail and Open-Xchange platforms.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure secure and efficient system operations.

  • Monitor system performance, implement updates, and ensure high availability.

  • Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Linux system administration (Debian, Ubuntu, or RHEL-based).

  • In-depth knowledge of LDAP (OpenLDAP or similar).

  • Hands-on experience with Keycloak setup and integration.

  • Familiarity with Nubus (document/data management systems).

  • Experience deploying and managing Jitsi servers.

  • Working knowledge of OX Mail and Open-Xchange environments.

  • Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar are a plus.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

  • Knowledge of security best practices in authentication and collaboration tools.

  • RHCSA or SCA (SUSE) certification.
