Role: Java Architect
Location: Remote (Quarterly visit to London office is however desirable)
Industry: E-Commerce
Salary: Up to £115,000 (+ bonus up to 15%)
Stott and May are working with a well-known brand in the e-commerce space as they look to grow their business. Working as a Java Architect, you will play a crucial role in providing technical guidance and support with technical input and technical design toward strategic goals.
In your first few weeks in this Senior Architect role, you can expect to:
- Help set the technical direction, target architecture, define technologies to use and explain how they fit into the greater plan
- Participate in role-wide conversations and presentations to share knowledge and technical details
- Be a technical leader across all teams, providing support with technical designs, preparation and planning
To apply for this role, you will need to be proficient in the following technologies - Java, Cloud ( GCP preferred, but alternatively AWS, Azure), Microservices, event-driven architecture. You will also require the following:
Experience:
- Experience in software engineering, specifically Java (ideally coming from a software background previously) with a willingness to take part in code reviews
- An understanding of App technologies (Concepts, principles, patterns of frontend/Web Technologies
- Hands-on and architecture experience with cloud technologies/tools/DevOps
- GCP experience (Ideally - Alternatively: AWS or Azure
Preferred experience:
- An understanding of the concepts and principles of Data warehouses
- Knowledge of Android (Kotlin) and/or iOS (Swift)
