Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Integration Architect to join our dynamic team dedicated to advancing the Airspace Industry. As an Integration Architect, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and executing processes for the definition, maintenance, and conformance management of the integration architecture. The successful candidate will lead a team, ensuring the right integration patterns are maintained within the middleware while providing architectural leadership in resolving inter-program and inter-project issues.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and execute processes for the definition, maintenance, and conformance management of the integration architecture.
- Update and oversee the Environment Management team, ensuring integration patterns are maintained within the middleware.
- Support the Environment Management team in understanding and elaborating on the capabilities of the middleware platform.
- Prepare and oversee the implementation of integration solutions using pre-defined capabilities of the integration platform.
- Propose improvements to the integration platform, presenting them internally and to the customer with clear value analysis, architecture risks, and mitigations.
- Set up and maintain contacts with business units to understand business activities, drivers, and requirements.
- Provide architectural leadership in resolving inter-program and inter-project issues, advising management and business areas.
- Create awareness, promote, and communicate enterprise architecture within the "Technology" division and other business units.
- Continuously research and assess new analysis approaches, providing recommendations and subject matter expertise on trends, technology, tools, and services.
- Check compliance within the enterprise architecture and reinforce adherence to standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other tasks in line with the main purpose of the job.
Must-Have Skills:
- Ability to manage stakeholders at a CXO level.
- Emotional Intelligence required to deal with people and influence them.
- Ability to lead, manage, and direct a team of multi-disciplinary architects.
- Demonstrable ability to distill complex ideas into simple concepts.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on enterprise management experience with standard tools (TOGAF, Open CA, ArchiMate, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in operating and designing solutions based on OpenShift.
- Experience with technologies and tools including Elastic Search, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, Istio, MongoDB, Solace, Nginx, Squid, Okta, HashiCorp Vault, Azure.
- Experience in designing complex integration and hosting platforms.
- Hands-on experience in designing and operating Integration, Messaging, and Event Streaming solutions.
- Air traffic domain experience (Flight, Flow, Routing, Capacity planning).
- Employed/Contracted with large organizations.
- Ideally Belgium-based or ability to travel to Belgium regularly.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant integration architecture experience.
- Experience in developing methods and techniques for modeling technologies.
- Relevant experience acquired in the aviation or air transport industry is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and customer focus skills.
- Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.
- Professional conduct in line with corporate behaviors: result-driven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity, and a team-player approach.
Desirable:
- Completed university studies of 4 years (Master’s degree) in a relevant domain (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
Working Conditions:
- On-site work: 3 days/week in Brussels.
- Remote work: Possible 40%.
- Citizenship: The candidate has to be an EU Member State equivalent at the date of the signature of the specific agreement.
Languages:
- English is mandatory (Oral/Written).
- Working languages: English and French.
- Any other European language: Nice to have.
