Job description

We are hiring a Head of Data Strategy for one of our Consulting clients -

This is an exciting opportunity to join a boutique Salesforce partner who have acquired a highly specialized Data practice – as they grow their presence and brand in data services (Twilio, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Snowflake)

 
This is a FTE hire, US or Canada-based / remote (EST time zone preferred, but not essential) – with travel up to 25%

The role will be paid at an annual salary of $200,000-220,000 base plus commission, benefits, bonus - OTE: $350-400k
 
This person will define and drive the data offerings and GTM approach - combining business strategy, technology expertise, and sales acumen to build scalable data services  

The role will lead the creation of data-driven solutions across platforms, including Salesforce Data Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake, and other modern data ecosystems. They will partner directly with C-level executives and sales leadership to position the data strategy as a core growth engine 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and own data services strategy and roadmap, aligning to company growth objectives and client demand.
  • Create packaged offerings and accelerators for Salesforce, Twilio, and data-agnostic engagements.
  • Partner with Product and Delivery leadership to scale repeatable methodologies, frameworks, and IP.
  • Collaborate with Delivery leaders to identify, cultivate, and leverage existing data talent in building out our practice capabilities.

Sales and Market Development
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to identify, shape, and close strategic data opportunities.
  • Lead executive conversations with CIOs, CDOs, and CTOs to connect business outcomes with data solutions.
  • Support proposal creation, solution pricing, and RFP responses.
  • Serve as a thought leader in market-facing activities, including client events, speaking engagements, and content creation.

Solution Architecture and Delivery Enablement
  • Oversee design standards, data governance, and integration frameworks across Salesforce and multi-cloud ecosystems.
  • Partner with Delivery and Practice Leads to ensure technical quality, scalability, and performance of delivered solutions.
  • Define and evangelize architecture patterns, best practices, and accelerators to improve delivery efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with Engineering and Consulting leadership to align on go-to-market and delivery capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with alliance partners (Salesforce, Twilio, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.) to expand solution reach.
Required Qualifications
 
  • 10+ years in data strategy, architecture, or analytics leadership roles, with significant client-facing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or equivalent modern data platforms.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical solutions into business outcomes and ROI narratives.
  • Experience leading pre-sales efforts, including scoping, pricing, and client presentations.
  • Demonstrated success driving data modernization and governance initiatives for enterprise clients.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.
  • Experience with regulated industries such as Financial Services or Healthcare.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for client, alliance, and business development engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Data Cloud or Integration Architect certifications.
  • Experience selling or delivering within Salesforce and Twilio ecosystems.
  • Prior consulting experience in a data practice or professional services organization.
