ERP Pre-Sales Engineer (Lumber) – Northeast (U.S. Travel) – Full Time

My client who is a leading ERP Software Solutions provider is currently looking to on board an experienced ERP Pre-Sales Engineer.

As a pre-sales engineer, you will serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor to customers during the pre-sales process. You will be responsible for utilizing technical expertise to support sales efforts through understanding customer pain-points and proposing customized solutions that demonstrate the functional capabilities of the ERP software itself.

This role seeks individuals presently based out of the Northeast, with the Tri-State (NY, NJ, CT) area being the ideal. You will work remotely with a travel expectation in the region of 20-30%.

The Role:

  • You maintain an in-depth knowledge of the software solution with an ability to communicate technical concepts to potential customers in a clear and understandable manner. 
  • You will lead pre-sales discussions to identify customer requirements surrounding ERP software and solutions, whilst presenting the business value of my client’s software applications.
  • You’ll demonstrate deep familiarity with my client’s direction, product roadmap, and industry presence.
  • Your technical capabilities translate into business solutions, addressing the customer’s pain points.
  • You will build and manage domain-specific, impressive demonstrations that effectively drive interest in new clients as well as in existing ones to broaden their usage of their solutions, as an advisor who recommends solutions architecture that fits their business challenges.
  • You will work cross-functionally with the sales, project management, and delivery teams to ensure a smooth and successful product delivery.

The Candidate:
  • The ideal candidate will be an ERP software applications technical expert as you are responsible for providing pre-sales technical and functional support
  • Possess 4+ years’ experience in a similar pre-sales engineering role
  • Have proven Sales demonstration experience
  • Have a track record of achieving targets in a competitive environment
  • Be willing to travel as needed to conduct pre-sales demos of the product
  • Willingness to travel on-site to customers within the US as needed.
  • Willingness to work outside regular business hours on occasion.
