DevSecOps Engineer – Freelance Opportunity 

Key Details

  • Location: Brussels (hybrid model – onsite + remote)

  • Start: 2-4 weeks

  • Contract: Long-term freelance

We’re looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to help shape and secure complex digital environments. This is a fantastic chance to work on high-impact, large-scale IT systems while applying advanced DevSecOps practices.

Your Mission

  • Build and refine modern, secure DevSecOps pipelines to support large application landscapes.

  • Drive continuous integration and delivery by implementing best practices, automation, and lifecycle management tools.

  • Design and maintain security-first cloud architectures.

  • Integrate advanced security testing methods across the software development process.

  • Oversee and enhance application and infrastructure security monitoring.

  • Lead on security solutions for APIs, containers, and cloud environments.

  • Ensure clear and structured technical documentation.

Your Profile

  • 15+ years of IT experience with a proven track record in DevSecOps environments.

  • Strong background in CI/CD automation using GitLab, AWS (CodeBuild, EKS, Secret Manager, CloudFront), Docker, Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

  • Solid expertise in security testing (SAST/DAST), Fortify, SonarQube, and dependency management.

  • In-depth understanding of modern authentication & security protocols: OpenID Connect, OAuth2, TLS, Keycloak.

  • Experience managing databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Opensearch, Virtuoso Triple Store).

  • Skilled in monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Prometheus.

  • Advanced programming capabilities in languages such as Java, Python, Bash, or Perl.

  • DevSecOps certifications (e.g., CDP, AWS, Microsoft, Google) are highly valued.

  • Fluent in English at C-level.
