Data Scientist – Germany Remote

Stott and May are currently partnered with a rapidly growing company in the Smart Homes Space, looking for an experience Data Scientist to join the expanding team. This organisation help customers by making buildings more climate-friendly, more comfortable, and more affordable using Smart connected devices (IoT), simple products and high processing and service quality. This year alone they have increased their head count by 74%!

With a team of product and IT experts, the future position holder will be responsible for further developing their Enterprise-IoT-Suite and services to ensure a stable and scalable technological foundation for the strategic development of the group of companies.

You will be responsible for the following:
• Interacting with different domain teams and will be responsible for the discovery of as many patterns and behaviours as possible.
• Working at the intersection between the business value of our product and the implementations of our development teams
• Applying algorithms on large datasets to divide the relevant data from the irrelevant data, to gain insights and to extract the most valuable data for our business.
• Applying your deep mathematical experience in data-science algorithms, statistics and programming skills.

You must have the following experience:
• 5+ years working and organising large datasets, as well as extracting behaviour patterns from the data.
• Strong analytical mindset and skills in pattern recognition, data correlation strategies as well bad-data detection
• Experience with data management, data governance and the creation of data strategies.
• Experience with Data-Wrangler Tools and at least two or more of the following: Python, Jupyter-Notebooks, Google Colab, Pandas, R or Julia.
• Experience with AI frameworks such as PyTorch, Sagemaker, Tensorflow 2.0.
• Project experience with space heating systems is a plus.
• Experience in tools for doing math such as Matlab, SPSS, Mathematica.
