As a Data Integration Developer specializing in Application Integration & Technical Development, you will oversee the design and development of various integrations between Workday applications and third-party HRM/Payroll/Planning/Spend management systems. This role requires expertise in integration tools like Boomi and MuleSoft, along with hands-on skills in Workday (Studio, EIB, Connector Toolkits, etc.), advanced integration concepts, messaging components, and API technologies. Collaborate with key program and project teams across the organization to deliver innovative solutions aligned with business requirements.
Responsibilities:
Understand the current implementation and integration of HRM/Payroll/Planning/Spend Management systems and other legacy non-HR integrations.
Collaborate with program and project teams to conceive, architect, and deliver integration solutions that align with business requirements.
Work closely with the in-house technical team, system integrators, and project leadership to support the integration of Workday HRIS and other integration tools.
Lead the development and implementation of integration standards and processes that align with strategic objectives.
Assist the established AMS team in troubleshooting and addressing integration issues.
Provide input on delivery estimation and resource planning as needed by business leads.
Conduct discovery sessions with business subject matter experts to create high-level design documentation for various technical integration areas.
Advise business partners on the adoption of Workday integrations and best practices for security.
Required Experience:
5+ years of related work experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade technical solutions to meet complex business requirements.
Advanced knowledge of Workday EIB, Studio, Document Transformation, and Cloud Connect.
Experience in creating data flows between Workday systems and HRIS systems and understanding integration messaging patterns.
Strong experience in HCM/ERP software applications, including web services, SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, Java, .Net, or other integration technologies.
Prior experience with Workday integration suite and iPaaS based integration tools like Boomi is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of Workday APIs and other API tools is highly desirable.
Familiarity with multiple programming environments and integration messaging tools is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and software triage skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to identify root causes and provide optimal solutions.
Demonstrated skills in negotiating priorities and resolving conflicts among project stakeholders.
Knowledge of QA processes, test-driven development, quality and security measures, and adherence to data privacy policies.
Strong understanding of project management principles, Systems Development Life Cycle standards, and familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies.
