Job Opportunity: Data Protection and Cybersecurity Associate
Location: Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Irvine, New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Diego, or San Francisco
My client is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of experience to join our Data Protection and Cybersecurity Team. The role involves advising on privacy and data protection compliance, managing data security incidents, navigating regulatory investigations, and ensuring legal and contractual security obligations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on privacy and security obligations, including incident notification requirements and regulatory investigations.
- Work closely with regional and national clients within the Privacy and Cybersecurity Group.
- Manage complex workloads, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with technical teams on forensic investigations.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in privacy/cybersecurity breach response or data breach litigation.
- Strong project management, communication, and legal skills.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the state bar.
- Reside within reasonable proximity to one of the listed offices.
Salary: $130,000 - $230,000, based on experience and location.
