CYBER SPECIALIST- SOUTHWEST
The Cyber Specialist provides strategic direction for Cyber and E&O placements and leads delivery of Cyber and Technology E&O resources to the region. Participates on the national Cyber Rick Practice, plays a critical role in agency retention efforts, and provides technical expertise to all colleagues. Partners with operations and sales leaders to continually enhance client experience. This position is also responsible for carrying the organization’s reputation and professional manner of conducting business into dealing with colleagues, clients, and carriers in accordance with the Core Values.
The Business Insurance Cyber Specialist is an exempt position which reports to the Business Insurance Managing Director, General Industries, or designee.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Works with Business Insurance leadership to provide strategic direction as it relates to creation and execution of Regional and National Cyber strategies and initiatives.
  • Leads delivery of Cyber and Technology E&O resources to new and existing clients.
  • Stays current on Cyber & Technology E&O trends and maintains industry knowledge in Cyber and Technology E&O.
  • Monitors competition and challenges in the market to remain competitive and current in product and service offerings.
  • Participates on National Cyber Risk Practice team.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives to formulate credible, effective, long-range strategies.
  • Support annual budgets that reflect growth goals and business conditions and support strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in key carrier discussions to help in the effort to provide the best product and best value.
  • Manages key client renewal and marketing process, including negotiation of rates with carriers and presenting alternative options when appropriate.
  • Analyzes renewal quotes and industry trends to make appropriate renewal recommendations.
  • Coordinates coverage placement and policy delivery with internal teams and clients as needed.
  • Pursues opportunities to round out existing client programs with additional and/or increased lines of coverage.
  • Actively participates in organizations initiatives and supports core values; including but not limited to driving and promoting community involvement of others.
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of insurance experience including strong knowledge of Cyber. Sales or underwriting experience preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to lead others.
  • Applicable current state insurance licensure. Must be in the Southwest Region
  • Must be detailed with excellent organizational, project planning and interpersonal skills.
