My client is looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to take ownership of multiple complex technology projects, with a particular focus on delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) within a retail environment.
This is a key contract role within the Technology function, ensuring that critical projects are delivered to scope, time, cost, and quality expectations. The successful candidate will work with internal teams, contractors, and external suppliers, while also contributing to the ongoing enhancement of delivery management processes.
Although there is some overlap with other roles in the organisation, this position will focus more on operational delivery (Ops) rather than development (Dev), setting it apart in both responsibility and scope.
Key Responsibilities:

End-to-end delivery of D365 F&O and other technology projects to defined success criteria.
-
Engage with business and technology stakeholders to define, manage, and document changes to scope.
-
Create and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, resource allocation, and RAID management.
-
Manage internal and external teams in a matrix environment, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.
-
Lead governance processes, project meetings, and stakeholder reporting throughout each phase.
-
Manage risks, resolve issues proactively, and escalate where necessary.
-
Ensure project documentation and benefits realisation tracking are maintained throughout.
-
Recommend process improvements as part of ongoing delivery methodology optimisation.
Required Skills & Experience:
-
5+ years in a technology delivery or project management role.
-
Proven experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O projects – this is a key requirement.
-
Background in the retail sector – highly beneficial.
-
Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps and project management tools.
-
Comfortable working across Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum methodologies (certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or PSM are desirable).
-
Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
-
Capable of managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
-
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and resolving delivery issues.
Contract Details:
-
Length: 6-month initial contract (with extension potential)
-
Onsite Requirement: 3 days per week onsite (hybrid working)
-
Start Date: ASAP – ideally within the next two weeks
-
Location: Central London
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing Technology team and take ownership of major delivery initiatives in a dynamic retail environment. If you meet the criteria and are ready to get started quickly, please get in touch.
