Job description

  To serve as Broker Relations representative supporting business units in the growth of their respective business segments within the defined Region including development of regional business plan. Deliver on assigned growth initiatives for assigned brokers (within region) and support Broker Relations leadership on completion of assigned projects that support US growth and service excellence objectives. This position will be located in Boston, MA


§  Partner with Broker Relations teams to drive production activities of business units within the Northeast Region with a focus on the New England territory
§  Execute on assigned objectives for each business unit as defined in Regional Development Plans.
§  Support development of the regional business plan working in collaboration with Head of Broker Relations – East, Head of Offices, and assigned underwriters within the region.
§  Gain deep understanding of each underwriting team’s risk appetite and broker distribution strategy for assigned region.
§  Assist in developing unique marketing plans, broker education, broker entertainment, and tools to support underwriters gain stronger traction with a select few trading partners and build the Beazley brand.
§  Provide local underwriters and claims teams with candid feedback from broker trading partners on service levels with the goal of moving towards service excellence.
§  Utilize adopted Broker Relation tools to identify and qualify opportunities to ensure quicker response/ turn-around of submissions.
§  Track submission, quote and bind cycle of selected broker partners (as assigned) to ensure opportunities are vetted and move towards closure resulting in increased new business to relevant underwriting teams.
§  Regularly contribute to North American Management Committee (and similar) reports, providing feedback on local market conditions, competitor landscape, change in broker strategies and client trends.
 
Region Defined – Northeast (NY Metro, New England, Pennsylvania and DC Metro)

Education and Qualifications
§  Minimum Bachelor’s degree education 
Knowledge and Experience
§  General commercial and financial knowledge
§  Extensive experience in insurance industry, with either an insurance company or broker
§  Several years’ selling experience, ideally with a track record of developing profitable property/casualty business
§  Client service experience 5-8 years experience
