Job description
My client, a well-known Shopify Plus Retailer, is seeking a VP of Information Technology to join their team on a Full-Time Basis.
This position will provide the selected candidate the opportunity to fully own my client's internal technology team. More specifically, my client is looking for this person to build out an internal engineering team (both on the Shopify Plus side as well as on the ERP side), to act as a bridge between the business stakeholders and the technical experts within their business, and to ensure that the organization is keeping up with new/emerging technology trends within the eCommerce landscape.
Role Requirements;
- Candidates MUST have exposure to both Shopify Plus & Netsuite
- 5+ years overseeing an internal engineering team of 4-6 people
- 3-5 years conducting code reviews, gathering requirements, and compiling documentation
- Prior experience building out an eCommerce technology team
- Experience onboarding and overseeing 3rd party vendors and independent consultants
- Strong exposure to Google Analytics, Klavyio, Netsuite, and Shopify Plus
- Experience working at a Shopify Plus Merchant/Retailer directly
- Background as a hands-on engineer preferred
Role Specifics:
- Oversee an internal engineering team at an Enterprise-level retailer
- Maintain and support a high-volume Shopify Plus storefront
- Opportunity to expand into international markets
- Implement new features, emerging technologies, new business processes, 3rd party integrations, etc.
- Onboard and manage external technology vendors
- Mentor, coach, and guide internal members of the team on industry best practices
