Technical Design Authority

Contract Type – Permanent

Location – Milton Keynes (Hybrid Working)

Salary - £80,000/£85,000 per annum + Share Options


Position Description
The role is to provide technical assurance and control for development projects such that the integrity, availability, and performance of the services provided to the Customer are not compromised.

You will bridge gap between the technical team and business team and will be responsible for the definition, validation and promotion of quality solutions for opportunities, bids and projects, both internally and externally.

You will support the design and implementation within the technology area and you will be creating quality technical design ensuring that the functional and non-function requirements are met.

You will play a key part in the co-ordination and mentoring of both on and off-shore development teams as well as full project delivery from requirements gathering to completion.

Your future duties and responsibilities

> Responsibilities are primarily focused on project delivery ensuring the objectives are met for a single project, providing design ownership and technical input across all technologies as required.

>Understand and seek clarification on project requirements, ensuring they are fully understood by the delivery teams.

>Validate and verify estimates to deliver the project requirements before quote is submitted to the customer.

>Perform impact analysis on the final solution design and identify mitigations to any technical risks identified.

>Oversee the full project lifecycle from design though to implementation in the production environment, collaborating with all project stakeholders, taking responsibility of the technical ownership the solution ensuring it fits within the existing service landscape.

>Provide quality assurance during the full project lifecycle reviewing and approving designs, code, test plans and evidence.

>Coordinate and facilitate the resolution of defects identified during integration and user acceptance testing

>Facilitate and review project implementation plans

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

You will have experience in technical designing solutions across various technologies such as Oracle, Java, .Net, MS SQL, JDBC, EJB 2.x, Spring, Hibernate, JSF 2.0, Javascript and HTML,XML.

Our framework is largely based on Webservices, but we will also consider experience in JBoss, SOAP and IDBC

You will have previously managed/mentored technical teams across multiple technologies and working in disparate locations.

Experience in Finance/Banking industry is highly desirable
