Job description
We are hiring a Staff Accountant to join the finance team of one of our US-based clients in the consulting space.
This person will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
This position will involve a variety of accounting tasks, including; reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, invoicing, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
This is a remote long-term contract to start ASAP and can be undertaken from LATAM region. The position is paid at an hourly rate of approx. $10-15/h dependent on experience.
Primary Responsibilities
? General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
? Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
? Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements by GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
? Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices from input through payment
? Expense Reports: Review, approve and process expense reports
? Accounts Receivable: Prepare all invoicing to the client, record payments and forecast expected future cash receipts
? Audit Support: Assist with annual audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
? Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
Required Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
? Proficiency in Quickbooks and MS Excel or Google Sheets
? Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
? CPA certification or progress towards it
? Salesforce Experience
