Service Engineering Manager - Leadership/ Cloud Migration/ Networking

A technically competent, Service Engineering Manager is required by a leading and growing organisation in London, where you will be responsible for managing a team of highly skilled engineers who are responsible for managing a range of technologies across this companies data centre and cloud infrastructure. Although predominantly leadership focused, this person will also have the ability to roll up their sleeves (if required) and therefore should not be too removed from the technology (AWS, Azure, Office365, VMware, Cisco Networking, General Windows server)

As the Service Engineering Manager you will be managing and developing a Service Engineering team and providing effective leadership and support, you will be ensuring the stability, availability, and optimal performance of their production environment and collaborating closely with the development and platform teams to implement improvements and optimise system performance.

Along with proven experience managing and leading a team of engineers, preferably in a similar sized team (5-10 engineers) you will also have the following experience:

- Excellent working knowledge of storage, server technologies (physical and virtual) and data centre operations.
- Proficiency operating with Infrastructure as Code using industry standard tooling
- Ideally proven experience implementing and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

3 days per week required in the office
